the Founder
Prior to founding FLOWER HOUSE, Sydney worked professionally & in academia at Acadia University & the University of Victoria exploring health, community, the built & natural environment.
During her Masters of Public Health she focused on the impacts of physical environments on health & wellbeing, producing her thesis study on the use of sensory elements in birth spaces & their impact on whole family health outcomes.
Sydney believes in approaching projects with a comprehensive & interdisciplinary perspective. In tandem with her background in public health, she has engaged in human-centred healthcare & interior design certificates from The New School: Parsons School of Design.
Sydney is passionate about the power that community-focused consultation & design has on whole body health & wellness, & looks forward to working with you in whichever way suits you.

Located in “Vancouver” on the unceded & ancestral territories of the Coast Salish peoples–Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō & Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) & xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations, FLOWER HOUSE Studios is a creative studio offering a unique blend of floral design, creative direction, & community consulting services.
The studio specializes in community building through the lens of design; employing the art of design to contribute to impactful spaces & experiences.
Supported by our background in public health & design, defined by our dynamic & interdisplinary approach, & motivated to meaningfully contribute to our community, we believe in the the power that good design has on health & wellbeing. From designing full-scale floral brand activations & events, to providing designs for local establishments, to facilitating floral workshops with community partners, FLOWER HOUSE stands out for it’s commitment to community building & high-quality & -impact design.
Beyond traditional floral design services, FLOWER HOUSE studios is uniquely positioned to provide consulting services to community actors such as design firms, developers, & municipalities. With a background in public health, social research, & design, FLOWER HOUSE brings a comprehensive interdisciplinary perspective to the world of public space & community building.

Sustainability: all packaging is 100% compostable or recyclable; & we will do our best to use locally grown floral product when available & appropriate. Our primary wholesaler is United Floral.
